3 Good Things

Cold Winter's Night

I do love walks after dinner with Addie.  The street lights are on, and if we are lucky, it's snowing.  I bundle up in scarf and hat and mittens, and it feels good to be out the the quiet darkness.  This is my first good thing.

The second good thing is finding this wonderful quote from Thomas Edison:

"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up.  The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."

This was a timely reminder for me, a gift of perfect words to inspire me to keep moving forward with my blog.  I like writing and creating content in squarespace, and lately I have found it challenging to dig up the energy to write at night after working at a 9-5 job all day.  So I'm grateful today to be sitting here thinking of this quote, and knowing that there is a break around the corner with Christmas coming.  The girls will be home.

My third good thing is an example of what happens when I do try to overcome my lassitude.  I am blessed to live in a beautiful community south of Vancouver, close to the US border.  Sundays I sometimes take Addie to the dog park near Blackie's Spit at Crescent Beach.  The beauty of this area can take one's breath away.

I wish you all a wonderful week, and hope you too can find your own 3 good things.
